Vacations!
Everybody likes vacations! Here are some pictures from some places that
I've been and took some interesting pictures of. No thumbnails yet, just
links to a number of what I think are my best pictures. BTW, these were
taken with a 110 camera, so I don't think I lost that much by "scanning"
them with my camcorder!
In no particular order (all JPEGs, mostly 640x480):
- Bryce Canyon, Utah (1993).
- It was still early enough in the year that it dropped to freezing at night.
- Canyon de Chelley in the Navajo Nation, Arizona (1993)
- Fascinating place, claims to be the only Living National
Monument in the US. Sacred to the Navajo, and an early settlement
of the Anasazi.
- Cozumel, Mexican Carribean (1993-4).
- Great SCUBA diving. Only moderately touristy, and actively
attempting to conserve the unique environment by limiting growth.
- Death Valley, CA (1993?)
- Don't try this in the summer, folks!
- Glen Canyon "rafting" trip (1993)
- No rapids, but the only part of Glen Canyon not under Lake Powell.
- Grand Canyon, North Rim (1993)
- The "unpopular" side. The day was overcast and hazy... and cold.
- Maui, Hawaii (1994).
- What can I say, it's Maui! (my first trip, though).
(One of these days I need to learn what the different fish are named...)
- The Mogillon Rim, central Arizona (1993)
- It's the southern edge of the Colorado Plateau in Arizona.
- Red Rock Canyon, just west of Las Vegas, NV (199?)
- Antidote to the casinos...
- Zion National Park, Utah (1993)
- I got rained on!
- Miscellaneous other pictures (1993)
